Intussusception is an invagination of a proximal segment the bowel into immediately adjacent, distal portion bowel. Ileocolic intussusception one most common causes obstruction in children. The peak incidence occurs infants between five and seven months age. etiology children typically idiopathic, approximately 5-10% patients have pathological lead point. Postoperative rare intussusception. Children with ileocolic often present abdominal pain, palpable mass, rectal bleeding, fussiness, emesis. effective imaging method for diagnosis ultrasound. treatment ileoileal intussusceptions different, first type requires invasive treatment.
